Zildjian Constantinople Ride 22 - Crash 18 - Hihat 14

Zildjian K Constantinople cymbal set – 22" ride, 18" crash and 14" hi-hats – for rent in Kraków. Dark, complex, low-pitched cymbals cast from B20 bronze and hand-hammered by Zildjian to recreate the sound of old Istanbul cymbals. The K Constantinople line has been the first choice of jazz drummers for years, but it works just as well for acoustic recordings, film scores, soul and any session where the drums should sound warm and vintage rather than bright and loud.

What is in the set

• Zildjian K Constantinople Ride 22" – wide, dark wash with a clear stick definition and a soft, singing bell that never sticks out of the mix. The main cymbal for a jazz ride pattern, but also for quiet ballad playing.
• Zildjian K Constantinople Crash 18" – thin, fast attack, short and dark decay. Doubles as a second ride with brushes.
• Zildjian K Constantinople Hi-Hat 14" – a clear foot “chick”, dark and dry stick sound, very responsive to dynamics.

Why rent these cymbals

A full K Constantinople set in these sizes costs several thousand euros – hard to justify for a single session or gig. Renting by the day lets you record an album or play a club show on cymbals heard on classic jazz records without buying them. The cymbals are in good condition, with no cracks or keyholing, so they are suitable for close-miked recording and overheads.

Best for

• jazz, acoustic, folk and soul recording sessions,
• small-venue and club concerts where volume control matters,
• film, advertising and music podcast recordings,
• rehearsals and demo recordings for bands who want to try the K Constantinople sound before buying.
