Neve 1073-type preamps are synonymous with the classic sound of records from the 1970s. Modern versions of this preamp are produced by many companies around the world. The IGS Audio NE573 is the version that, in our opinion, has the best sound most faithful to the original, thanks in part to the use of Motorola transistors. We compared this preamplifier with the Warm Audio WA73 and were surprised by how much better this version is, particularly in the low-frequency range. Bass guitar or kick drum recordings gain an extraordinary level of bass that remains clear right down to the bottom of the frequency range. Looking for a fat, saturated, analogue sound — this preamp is for you. We have a pair of these preamps for stereo recordings.
The IGS Audio NE573 is a preamp in 500-series format. When renting it, we include the Midas Legend L6 rack which allows you to power the preamp.
