Portable professional recording studio – 16 tracks (Apollo x8p + 500-series preamps)

A 16-track professional recording studio you can take wherever the music happens: a live album recording in the rehearsal room, a multitrack concert recording in a club or concert hall, a drum session in the studio or a film set. At its heart is the Universal Audio Apollo x8p Gen 2 (8 Unison preamps, HEXA Core DSP, Thunderbolt 3), with the Audient EVO SP8 adding another 8 preamp channels over ADAT. That's 16 mic inputs recorded simultaneously – enough for a full drum kit, bass, two guitars, keys and vocals in one take.

On top of that, a full complement of 500-series preamps and processors that give recordings character before they reach the computer: API 512v (the classic punchy vocal and snare sound), Chandler TG2 (the EMI console sound of Abbey Road), 2 x IGS Audio NE573 (Neve 1073 flavour for kick, bass and guitars), Hairball Audio Lola (clean, fast preamp for overheads and acoustic instruments), IGS Audio Rubber Bands RB500ME (Pultec-style stereo passive EQ for the mix bus or a group) and IGS Audio LA ONE (tube optical compressor for vocals and bass).

Included: Apollo x8p Gen 2, Audient EVO SP8, API 512v, Chandler TG2, 2 x IGS NE573, Hairball Lola, IGS RB500ME, IGS LA ONE, 500-series rack with power supply, Thunderbolt 3 cable, ADAT optical cable and power supplies. Connect the set to your own Mac or PC with a Thunderbolt 3/4 port. A powered 500-series rack is included. Microphones can be added from our offer (Neumann KM 184, Shure SM57 and SM81, Audix drum mic set) – we will advise what suits your session.
