The Sony FX5 is the first FX-series camera to record Open Gate (full 3:2 sensor) and 16-bit X-OCN RAW internally, with no external recorder. 5K sensor, 15+ stops of latitude, three base ISOs (800, 4000, 12800), 5K up to 60 fps and 4K up to 120 fps, eye-detection autofocus, 5-axis stabilisation and an XLR handle with 32-bit float audio.

The Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 ZA is a native Sony FE autofocus lens: very sharp wide open, with soft, rounded bokeh and the classic Zeiss contrast. At f/1.4 it separates your subject from the background with ease, and its speed helps in the evening and indoors – a great match for the FX5's base ISO 12800.

A great kit for interviews, music videos, commercials, short-form content and documentary. Open Gate lets you cut both a horizontal and a vertical version from a single shot.
